Creative critical reflection questions

 1.     How does your product use or challenge conventions AND how does it represent social groups or issues?

My music video difficulties and utilizations shows of afro beats. It challenges the shows by not having dynamic shading apparel, African print headwear, and cash or vehicles as props. Rather than wearing lively attire we wore all dark. We likewise didn't wear African print headwear. We needed our video to have a portion of the standards of afro beat music recordings, yet we likewise needed to add our own turn to it. Thus, we destroyed our meshes instead of having it wrapped up. I recommended this basically in view of a section in the melody where she discusses how she adores every little thing about us particularly our hair. Additionally, there was no glimmering of cash or utilizing vehicles as props. We use shows by shooting in spots in the area, moving, and having two distinct individuals of various body. Afro beats music video commonly takes cuts everywhere on the city. In any case, we were unable to make efforts everywhere on the city, so we took cuts in various pieces of the area. At that point, we moved in one of the clasps. We did this since we had an energetic tune which typically has moving included. Ultimately, we added two young ladies of various build. They were two African Americans who were various shades and sizes. Our music video speaks to social gatherings by engaging African Americans however chiefly African American ladies/young ladies. It applies to them in light of the fact that the tune is there to cause individuals of color to like themselves and the skin that they're in.

2. How does your product engage with audiences AND how would it be distributed as a real media text?

To start, the product can be very engaging because of the song itself. The song brown skin girl is by a very famous singer named Beyoncé. Beyoncé has had many hit songs in her past and current years of her singing music. Beyoncé usually sings about real things. By real things I mean relatable things that get more and more people to listen to her. This song include WizKid, Saintjohn and , Blue Ivy. They are kind of undercover artist is that I personally have never heard about but ever since this song came out I started listening to them more. Blue ivy is Beyoncé‘s daughter. Just by having blue Ivy in this song just makes a lot of Beyoncé fans get excited that she starting to do music with her daughter. Something else that engages the audience Is that it is about Black people. There are many Black people in the world can definitely relate to this song. For example the lines about having thick curly hair watermelon in a skin are very relatable to Black people. They are not many songs that I have heard that has to do solely on Black people that I have danced and like to sing too but this song is definitely one. You can post these on platforms such as Instagram and TickTock‘s. There have been different dances based off of this one song that different people make up their own moves too. When posting these videos a broadcast this song to the public which spread the word about the song and makes it grow. Some thing that we did that was engaging was using transitions and background scenery. I feel that transitions really adds some creativity to a music video. Going from clip to clip instead of being a simple slide and slide out it could be like a fade or a pixel like transition. This alone could add a lot to the video. Something else that was engaging with the background scenery that we shot at. There was a lot of rivers, fountains, And beautiful trees. Instead of having a plain background with no color we felt that the nature outside just goes so well with the whole video.

3.     3. How did your production skills develop throughout this project?

My production Skills definitely develop throughout this project. But it actually started from the first project. Using iMovie has definitely been a big factor in my production skills. Using iMovie taught me how to crop and trim my videos well and how to do voice overs instead of screen recording. I also learned how to add music to a video in the back. I’ve never had to add music before so I had to take some testing before I really again understood how to work it well. I feel like music can be an essential part of a production because it adds creativity and something different into your product. I can always use the skills that I learned in future classes. I learned that there is so many more different features in the iMovie that I have yet to use. iMovie is a pretty self-explanatory thing. It has what everything means so if you look at the words on it you can know what you can use it for. I can use iMovie not only for class purposes but maybe if I want to do something for fun. My production skills have also developed with my accuracy and preciseness. I’ve learned to online videos and songs together. That is a very essential part because without trimming and cutting the videos to align with the song it can definitely be very messed up. If you want a really clean video it’s necessary for everything to be clean and be around the same quality from the beginning to the end. My acting has also gotten better with shooting the videos. At first I was kind of nervous and didn’t know whether to look at the camera or look at my surroundings around me. Overtime I just learned to be natural and pretend like the camera isn’t there. When you pretended the camera isn’t there and makes it look like you are more professional and know what you are doing. Instead of looking nervous at the camera or anywhere else.

4. How did you integrate technologies – software, hardware and online – in this project?

The technology that we used was an iPhone. We feel like iPhones have the best phone quality so we decided to use an iPhone to shoot the video. So after we shot all the videos on the iPhone we had a bunch of little clips of what we shot. We used iMovie which is only found on iPhones to edit and put together this whole music video. I movie was very helpful in this process and I feel like we will always be using iMovie for the future until we find something that is also as easy to use and that is as straightforward and creative. We also had to use YouTube. When we finish editing the video and putting it all together. We had to upload it to YouTube. In order for it to be stayed as a video when it is put into blogger we had to put it into YouTube first. At first we did not know how to do this and it took us a couple minutes to learn how to but we looked at the instructions that were available for us and then it became pretty easy. Since we had to upload two videos in the past to YouTube and each time it got easier and easier and now we know how to do it. When uploading the video to YouTube although it’s a couple steps it’s worth it in the end because you can see the full video on our blog.
