Intro Blog

Hello Bloggers! My name is Tiffanie Badchkam. I'm in 11th grade and I currently attend Fort Lauderdale High School. I recently decided to take a class called AICE Media Studies. I'm taking this class because I have heard good things about what is done in here and how much I will learn. I have never really known anything about what it takes to make or direct a film. Since we started this class, I have learned what some of the film methods. For example, the shots, angles, and sounds. Although I cant wait to learn more on what it takes to make a film, here are some facts about me! I was born on February 12, 2004. This means that I am currently 16 years old and my zodiac sign is an Aquarius. Ever since I could remember, my favorite color has always been Blue. The color blue reminds me of water which I love, it calms me, and I feel is just a beautiful color all around. I absolutely love to cook, its one of my favorite things to do. After High school, I plan to go to a culinary school and get my masters or even my Doctoral degree in Culinary Arts. When I grow up, I want to be an Executive Chef and own my restaurant. Cooking just gives me the highest sense of serenity and happiness. I also love to sew and design cloths. During this quarantine, I have been making mask for anyone who I knew who might have needed it. My all time favorite show is Grey's Anatomy. I love that it brings me through an emotional roller coaster. The show is so engaging and the characters are east to get attached to. Although I am born and raised in Florida, my families nationality is Jamaican, so therefore I am Jamaican as well. I have so much pride and love for my culture. Jamaica is such a beautiful Island and is very rich in culture that you will learn a lot about Jamaica just by visiting. Until next time!

Genre Research: Comedy & Romance

Hey bloggers! My partner Misharma and I decided to talk about two Genres. We chose the comedy and romance genre. If we didn’t choose our first decision, which was thriller. We definitely would’ve referred to either the comedy or romance. Comedy is definitely my favorite genre. It makes me laugh and have a good time while watching it. Comedy is a literary genre. It has a type of dramatic work that is amusing to the public. It usually has a happy ending most of the time.The motif of this dramatic work is triumph over unpleasant circumstance. Hey bloggers! We made a genre PowerPoint. The genre we chose to do was thriller. We chose the thriller genre because it seems to be very popular and interesting. For this I worked with my partner Misharma. In this genre PowerPoint we gave examples of what will usually be seen in a thriller movie. Every genre has signature sounds and props that are used. In this PowerPoint we talked about different movies and what we usually be seen in it. In the first PowerPoint we talked about the common lighting. Thriller movies are known for a mysterious and suspicious lighting. The angle that the lighting is shining could be very essential to give it a scary vibe. In the second slide we talked about Camera angles. It is very important that they are multiple camera angles throughout a filler movie.
